Room Parents

1.
Most Important - Communicate with your teacher! The key role of a PTA Room Parent is to support your teacher's efforts with our children.

2.
While individual classroom needs vary - typical room parent activities include: coordination of classroom celebrations, field trips, scheduling of parent-teacher conferences and classroom volunteers.

3.
Other responsibilities:
  • Recruit parents in your room for PTA events and programs.
  • Collect/budget funds to support your class activities for the year.
  • Communicate with your parents on behalf of PTA as necessary.

Interested in becoming a room parent?
Be sure to complete the PTA Volunteer form during registration.
In general, room parents are contacted during the first week
classes begin (late August). The PTA's goal is to assign at least
2 parents to each classroom for the school year
